Annual Fall Retreat
November 2003

A day was spent in silence, meditation and devotional repose dedicated to God and Guru. Meditations and classes were conducted by Bro. Bholananda and Br. David. There was a Satsanga at the retreat. Satsanga questions were placed in a box on the bookroom table. A vegetarian lunch was included.

PICTURE ROCKS RETREAT
7101 West Picture Rocks Road - Tucson, Arizona

Picture Rocks Retreat is located on 120 acres of land bordering Saguaro National Monument West in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains overlooking the valley.There are miles of trails for hiking, a variety of desert flora and fauna, and ancient Hohokam Indian rock petroglyphs (shown here) in this special and holy place.

The retreats are led by the monks from the Phoenix Temple and combine silence, meditation, a satsang or lecture, and discussion of Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings.  Vegetarian meals are served in the dining room, which is then followed by time to rest or explore the grounds. The retreats are offered as one-day events, hosted by the Tucson Meditation Group, or, as three-day events hosted by the Phoenix Temple.
MAP AND DIRECTIONS:

Take I-10 to Ina, go west on Ina 4 miles until pavement ends and turn left on to Wade road and go 1mile.  The retreat will be on the left side at 7101 West Picture Rocks Road.
