PICTURE ROCKS RETREAT

Picture Rocks Retreat is located on 120 acres of land bordering Saguaro National Monument West in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains overlooking the valley.There are miles of trails for hiking, a variety of desert flora and fauna, and ancient Hohokam Indian rock petroglyphs (shown here) in this special and holy place.
The retreats are led by the monks from the Phoenix Temple and combine silence, meditation, a satsang or lecture, and discussion of Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings. Vegetarian meals are served in the dining room, which is then followed by time to rest or explore the grounds. The retreats are offered as one-day events, hosted by the Tucson Meditation Group, or, as three-day events hosted by the Phoenix Temple. |
